Sharon Turner, Owner of The Cat Butler Stourbridge, leaves behind a 30-year teaching career to provide exceptional cat care services in the West Midlands.
What Did Life Look Like Before You Joined The Cat Butler?
Sharon: "Before joining The Cat Butler, I spent 30 years teaching, a profession that became increasingly stressful and paperwork-heavy over time. I was disheartened by the direction education was taking and felt perpetually tired and anxious. I realised I needed a complete change of pace and wanted to take control of my future."
Why Cat Sitting?
Sharon: "I have always loved cats and understood the anxiety that comes with leaving them, even for short periods. The idea of a cattery never appealed to me, and I often had no one to check in on my cats. While searching for a solution, I discovered The Cat Butler. The thought of working for myself and spending time with beautiful cats was incredibly appealing."
What Was It About The Cat Butler that Appealed to You?
Sharon: "The Cat Butler immediately stood out to me for its professionalism and understanding of what cat owners need. Unlike other pet sitters, they focus exclusively on cats, which reassured me as a fellow cat lover. However, I noticed there wasn't a Cat Butler in my area, which led me to explore the franchise opportunity and contact Sandra (the franchisor)."
Tell Us About Your Feline Family
Sharon: "At home, I have two rescue brothers, Spike and River. They are two years old, love fuss and food, and keep me on my toes. Although they are house cats, they enjoy the outdoors in their catio."
What Does the Future Hold?
Sharon: "I'm excited to represent The Cat Butler in Stourbridge and the surrounding areas, helping people feel confident about going away while their feline family members are in good hands. I feel well-supported by my Cat Butler family and have already received enquiries from friends and family."
